Port identities
A B C D EFilled dot = port is bonded. Hollow dot = port is free. A line links the specific ports a bond formed between.
Each particle carries a ring of typed ports. Two particles attract when their port sequences share an order-preserving run of matching types, and repel when they don't. Close encounters can lock into a bond or blast apart; heat, crowding and bond strain can shake an existing bond back loose.
